Getting support: Jobs and finance in a time of COVID – Dialogue

Location: Online via Zoom

Date: Tuesday 19 January 2021

Time: 11am – 12.30 pm

As more and more people find themselves unemployed and/or struggling financially due to the impact of Coronavirus, we will be discussing where and how to find work, your employment rights, and the state benefits and financial advice available to you.

This is an opportunity for both individuals and organisations to explore options, share useful experiences and information, and to ask questions during the Q&A*.

Our speakers are:

  • Unemployment benefits and support – Simon Lavall, Partnership Advisor, Department for Work and Pensions
  • Advice and guidance on finding work – Amanda Payne, Regional Manager (East Midlands), Futures
  • Employee rights, and health and safety at work – Nathan Oswin, Award-winning Trade Union Campaigner

* This dialogue is for sharing information which will be useful to a wide audience. Any detailed personal issues should be addressed by direct contact with the organisation concerned.

Please note: the event will be recorded

After our dialogues, we produce a resource capturing all the points discussed at the event. Recording allows us to make sure we don’t miss a single detail. The recording will not be publicised and you’re welcome to have your camera off to remain anonymous. If you’d like to discuss the recording further, please get in touch.
