Communities Inc are offering free bystander intervention training on the 10th October, 12.30-3.30pm at NBV Enterprise Centre (with lunch at 12).
It is aimed at individuals who would like to build their knowledge and confidence to stand by anyone experiencing hate or hostility. Training will focus on safe interventions that support the victim.
A bystander is a person present where another person needs help, but chooses not to act. Bystander Interventions can prevent escalation of incidents. It also sends a strong message to perpetrators that their behaviour is not acceptable.
