Back in 2014, we worked with Nottingham City Homes and Nottingham City Council on developing a citywide positive action programme. The Future Leaders of Nottingham initiative aims to boost diversity at senior levels in Nottingham’s leading organisations. The programme will identify diverse future leaders from a range of organisations across the city and will support them to gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed for senior management and board positions.
Future Leaders of Nottingham
About the Future Leaders Programme:
Future Leaders of Nottingham is a professional development programme making leadership in Nottinghamshire more diverse and representative – by creating a network of talented people to inspire others and drive change. The programme identifies diverse future leaders from a range of organisations across the city. They are supported to gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed for senior management and board positions throughout the project.
“It’s the best training programme I’ve ever attended. I’d highly recommend it to anyone who wants to progress their career and has the confidence to take on new challenges.”– Project Participant
Our involvement:
As well as developing the framework for Future Leaders of Nottingham, we are heavily involved in the delivery of the project. We are a member of the advisory group, take part in participant’s interviews, and deliver community-oriented workshops to shed light on Nottingham and needs of specific communities that inhabit the city.
Future Leaders of Nottingham is run by a group of leading employers committed to improving inequality and under-representation at senior levels – coordinated by The Renewal Trust.
