Stand by Her

Stand by Her

Designed by women, delivered to men.

Stand by Her empowers people by developing their knowledge, skills and confidence in tackling sexual harassment. It is a unique approach that uses a bystander intervention model in tackling misogyny happening in public spaces and at work. It builds on our Stand by Me programme, which tackles hate crime using bystander interventions.
Stand by Her has been piloted in partnership with Nottinghamshire Women’s Aid Ltd (NWAL) in Bassetlaw, North Nottinghamshire as women in rural settings often have less access to support services than women in the cities. This disparity suggests that misogyny is more likely to be unreported and unaddressed.

How it works

We teach men how to intervene when witnessing sexual harassment and equip them with our resources. This information gets cascaded to others through our leaflets, ensuring a broader impact.

Our Aims
