Stand By Me
Activating Bystanders
Bystander Intervention Training
What is Bystander Intervention?
Bystander intervention is when someone who witnesses harmful behaviour like bullying, harassment, or discrimination chooses to step in and do something instead of ignoring it. It’s about recognising your role and acting safely and effectively to prevent harm or support the person affected.

Do you know what to do when you witness harm?
Bullying, harassment, prejudice, and microaggressions chip away at trust and safety. Left unchallenged, they escalate into serious harm. Most people want to help, but freeze, worry about making things worse, or don’t know what to say. Recognising harmful behaviour and stepping in safely can prevent harm and save lives. Stand By Me trains people to act confidently and create safer, respectful environments
